Kuro-kuro watch ulit

We are willing enough to praise freedom when she is safely tucked away in the past and cannot be a nuisance. In the present, amidst dangers whose outcome we cannot foresee, we get nervous about her, and admit censorship. - Edward M. Forster

It pays to be honest
“FORMER SOCIAL WELFARE and now Health Secretary Esperanza Cabral is reportedly using her office to harass a blogger who exposed the allegedly rotting relief goods at the warehouse of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
If the reports are true, this is a shame.
But if the reports are not true, then forgive me Secretary Cabral.
However, according to the reports I received, the account is accurate…” (read more)

Cabral’s crackdown
“…Fast forward to today, when Cabral’s experience in being subjected to public scrutiny and her seeing the public was not about to give her either a free pass or would be intimidated by her being in the Cabinet, has inspired her to use government to get even with the blogger who caused her such grief.
Recently, the National Bureau of Investigation filed a libel suit on Cabral’s behalf, against the blogger. This is not a mere case of an outraged party filing a libel case against another citizen; this is a case of a Cabinet secretary using the government to move her own case forward.
First, she asked her own department’s legal service to look into whether she should file a libel case against the blogger, basically a request for civil servants to do what she could fully well entrust to a private attorney. Cabral then specifically asked the NBI to do the sleuthing for her case, by finding out, first of all, who exactly the blogger was, and the NBI obliged by asking the hosting company of the blog who the blogger is. The NBI then also made inquiries with the blogger’s publisher. The NBI then summoned the blogger to undergo a polygraph test….” (read more)
These columns made me thank God for His blessings dahil marami pa ring taong may integridad.
Mr. Manuel L. Quezon III is a blogger, Mr. Ramon Tulfo is not. It made no difference. Nakita nila pareho ang tama at mali. Maraming salamat po ulit.

What the DSWD secretary did to you was really scary!
Mmmm… Perhaps the donated relief goods were already expired?

Hi momregg,
I have a short story to tell (hindi katulad ng mga email ko sa iyo na saksakan ng haba hehe).
During the height of the popularity of the post in question,
muntik na akong mag-breakdown. Sunod-sunod kasi ang exposure ko sa tri-media so much so that I was declining all invitations for an interview from radio and TV shows.
I could see my person being unfairly attacked sa internet over and over. My words were twisted or taken out of context.
If not for those who supported and stood by me, who believed in me, and there were many, baka naglaho na ako sa internet. Ika nga ng isang kaibigan, I survived it all. But it took a while for this blog to settle.
I survived, yes, because I gave it all to God. Corny? Puwede, but when I was down and out, it’s as if I heard God telling me to trust Him. And I did. Without question.
Everything happens for a reason. Cabral started it this time. Ayaw niya ng katahimikan. Ibinigay ko ulit siya kay God. Bahala na ang Diyos sa kanya. And I trust in my God with all my heart.

Aheee…..
